iOS 10: Install Public Beta - Here's how
If you want to test iOS 10 before everyone else, you can install the beta from July 2016. We'll show you step by step how to bring iOS 10 to your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Install iOS 10: Beta released now
- As expected, the first public beta for iOS 10 was released in the first week of July. Since July 7th, every user with a reasonably current iPhone, iPad or iPod touch can use iOS 10.
- iOS 10 and the iOS 10 beta run on all devices that also support iOS 9. However, please note that the beta is not necessarily intended for daily use. The beta versions are becoming increasingly stable due to updates, but crashes can still occur more often.
- The final version of iOS 10 is expected to appear with the new iPhone at the end of September. If you cannot or do not want to install the iOS 10 Beta at the moment, you will find all the important innovations and information about iOS 10 here.
- As a member of the iOS Developers Program, you could download and try the Developers Preview before anyone else.

- Tap the "Sign In" button and log in with your Apple ID.
- Go to the "Register your devices" category at the top and tap the "Load profile" button below.
- Confirm the process a total of three times with the "Install" button.
- In order for the update to be provided for you, you now have to restart your iOS device.
- Then open the Settings app and select the "Software update" under the "General" category.
- The beta for iOS 10 is now available for download here. The installation works like any other software update.
