10 brilliant lifehacks - everything is possible with your car
The so-called lifehacks relate to everyday situations in which little knowledge helps you to master the situations better. Below we have summarized ten ingenious car hacks:
bottle opener
Very few cars have bottle openers with bottle caps. However, since you are getting more and more bottles with bottle caps in many supermarkets, it is good to recognize a simple bottle opener directly. This is your belt, more precisely the metal buckle. There is a rectangular hole in the middle. You place this hole horizontally on the bottle cap, as you know it from a normal bottle opener. Then press the opener with your thumb up and the bottle is detached.
The integrated fridge
You won't find a cold spot in your car, especially in summer. This also affects your food. However, if your car has air conditioning, you can cool at least a small part of your food. To do this, open the glove compartment and look for a small wheel that has a symbol for a blower. Open the blower and the cold air from the air conditioning system flows into the glove compartment. This allows you to keep chocolate, cookies or individual bottles much cooler.
The optimal sitting position
This lifehack is particularly useful for car owners who often share their car with other drivers. You have to readjust the seat after every ride. This is annoying and often you need two or three attempts to find the optimal sitting position. You can do this faster by adjusting the seat to the optimal position. Then get out and stick a strip of tape on the solid lower part over which the seat is passed. Then stick a second strip on the seat so that the two strips are on top of each other (see picture). Now you just have to line up the strips before you start driving and you have your optimal sitting position.
The cold steering wheel in summer
Every driver is familiar with the problem: after a long day in the sun, get into your car and touch the hot steering wheel that has been in the sun all day. Since it is very uncomfortable and it takes a long time for the steering wheel to cool down, the first few kilometers are a strenuous journey. You can prevent this by turning the steering wheel 180 degrees after parking. As a result, the upper half is on the lower side and does not get warm. As soon as you get into your car, turn the steering wheel back and you have a pleasantly cool steering wheel half.
Top up oil without losses
Every car uses oil, without the lubrication an engine cannot work. Therefore, you have to add oil to your car at regular intervals. However, since it is difficult to fill the oil without spilling anything without a suitable funnel, it is done too rarely. You can bring the oil through the opening with a very simple trick: you only need a screwdriver. Hold it with the tip in the opening. Then let the oil run down with the screwdriver. It flows directly into the oil tank without any losses.

If you often use different cars or rental cars, you can forget which side the tank is on. With most cars, you can easily find out - without getting out. See how in the video.
Make old windscreen wipers work again
Wipers have a limited lifespan. The older they are, the worse they clean the window. You can increase the lifespan by removing the wiper blades and cleaning them with alcohol and a soft microfiber cloth. Then take silicone spray and spray the rubber wipers with it. The silicone spray makes your wipers supple again and ensures that less residue remains on the windshield. Use the silicone spray as regularly as possible, your wipers will last significantly longer.

Even the best car wash leaves slight streaks on the windows. Without the right tricks and means, however, it is difficult to remove them. Therefore, look in your garage, there may still be anti-freeze concentrate. Put a few drops of the concentrate on a soft cloth, which you can then use to clean the disc. The concentrate ensures that the streaks disappear and your disc is completely clean. You do not need to wipe it off, the concentrate dries on its own and leaves no residue.
Greater range for the car key
If you have a radio key and use it to open and lock your car, you know the problem of the short range. There is a simple trick that you can use to significantly increase the range of your key. Hold your radio key to your head and use it there. Your body then acts like a large antenna and ensures that you can lock or open your car from a distance. You can see exactly how this works in the video.
The end for light electric shocks
As soon as you get out of the car after a long journey and close your door, you will be missed a slight electric shock. The friction between your car seat and your clothes made you statically charged. As soon as you touch the door and the floor, your body discharges and you get the familiar, short electric shock. You can avoid this by touching the outside of your car while you are still in the car. This removes the static charge and you can get out with ease.
