30 vs 60 FPS: which is better?
30 vs 60 FPS - if you have a choice between these two FPS numbers, there is really only one right choice. In this article we show what advantages and disadvantages the two FPS values have.
30 or 60 FPS: how much do you need?
- With 60 FPS, many games are much smoother and more pleasant for the eyes than with 30 FPS. In some games, however, the difference is very small. Although humans cannot process 60 frames per second, movements still appear more fluid.
- On the Frames-Per-Second website, the difference can be seen quite well. You can also find numerous videos on YouTube, in which 30 and 60 FPS are compared directly with each other.
- But not everywhere where it says 60 FPS is 60 FPS. If the console or PC gets too hot, the performance is throttled so that the 60 FPS is not always reached.
- Select 60 FPS in the settings, although your graphics card cannot do this, in some cases you should switch to 30 FPS. Otherwise, you will probably have to accept stutters and lags.
In the next practical tip we will tell you how much FPS a computer game runs smoothly.
