Make 3D glasses yourself - how it works
Classic 3D glasses with blue and red lenses can be quickly made in a few simple steps. We'll show you how to do it step by step.
Variant 1: Make 3D glasses yourself
- Download the following PDF template and print it out.
- Cut the glasses out of thick paper or cardboard using the template.
- You need transparent film for the glasses. In the craft supplies you will also find the film already colored.
- Paint the film with a cyan and a red permanent marker. Be sure to paint the area evenly.
- You can then cut the film to size and stick it over the two openings in the frame.
- Finally, attach the brackets and the 3D glasses are ready for use.
Variant 2: make 3D glasses yourself
- If you want to use the 3D glasses a little more often, you can also make them a little more comfortable. With a little more effort, you can convert old sunglasses into 3D glasses.
- The old glasses are simply removed and replaced. For this you can again use plastic film such as cellophane, overhead films or acetate films. With skill, two glasses can also be produced from a CD case.
- You can then color the foils or plastic with a permanent marker and stick them on the glasses. Make sure that you use cyan and no other blue.
