SketchUp: How to print the models on a 3D printer
- When you open the software, you must first determine which template you want to create. Here you can choose a small or large object and specify the details exactly.
- You can then add other geometric shapes to the drawing by simply dragging and dropping.
- However, make sure to use the correct dimensions. You enter this in the window under "Dimensions".
- Always look at your model from all sides so that no mistakes are made here.
- If you want to add color to the model, double-click on it and then click on the paint bucket.
- When you are done, you can check the file with the free program Netfabb Basic before sending it to the printer.
- However, you still have to make changes in Google SketchUp, since the free tool Netfabb Basic comes without such functions.
