7 days to die: create servers - how it works
7 Days to Die is a survival game for Playstation 4, in which you can create servers and play with friends. In this article we explain how to create a server in the game.
7 Days to Die - how to create a server
7 Days to Die is a survival horror shooter from the developer "The Fun Pimps". In a post-apocalyptic world, the player has to try to survive and fight through hordes of zombies.
- To create your own server, start a new game. In the game options you can now set whether the game should be private or public. If you only want to play with friends, you can either assign a password to the game or set exactly the number of players in the "Number of players" option that corresponds to the number of your friends.
- However, it may happen that this does not work and your friends cannot connect to the server. If this is the case, you can also create a so-called "dedicated server".
- Go to the folder where the game is saved and locate the startdedicated.bat file that starts the server. Now start the game and select in the game settings "connect to localhost", port 25000. The other players connect to the host's IP address instead.
- A Telnet client is required to end the server; for example the "Puffy" program. However, please note that the savegame of the multiplayer game is saved at the host. This means that he should be careful when changing the scores.
