Create list of figures in OpenOffice - how it works
With OpenOffice, mapping directories can be created with a specially created wizard. We'll show you how.
OpenOffice: Create list of figures
In this guide, we assume that the images are already inserted in OpenOffice.
- Right-click on the image and select the "Label" option.
- Enter the desired "label text" here. This serves as a picture description in the list of figures.
- Then click on the "OK" button and repeat these steps for all other images. Then click with the mouse where the list of figures should appear.
- Now select the "Directories" under the "Insert" category at the top of the menu bar and then the "Directories" again.
- A small window opens. Select the "List of figures" as the type (see picture).
- If you wish, you can make further settings here. You do not have to change anything for a simple list of figures.
- The directory is inserted using the "OK" button.
We will show you how to add a new font in OpenOffice in the next practical tip.
