Access: Message "Enter parameter value" - you have to do that
If Access displays the "Enter parameter value" message, this may either be desired or an error. We'll show you what to do now.
Access: What does "enter parameter value" mean
- The "Enter parameter value" display always appears when opening a file in Access. The message can appear for forms, queries, tables and reports.
- The command is often used specifically to request certain data from the editor of the file. For example, the attached text indicates that you should enter your name.
- If the attached text makes no sense to you, or if you have created the Access file yourself, the message is usually not wanted. Then it is a mistake, but it can be fixed quickly.
"Enter parameter value": Solution to the problem
- Note the text that appears with the message "Enter parameter value". The respective identifier or the syntax of the expression must now be searched for this text.
- First, right-click on the query, form, tablet or report. Now select the "Design view". Here you can now search for the displayed text and fix the error.
