Set up an access point - how it works
If your WiFi network does not cover the entire house, you can expand it using an access point. In this practical tip, we will tell you how to set it up.
Access Point - how it works
- First, you need the right access point - you can often get it for around 20 euros.
- Simply connect it to the mains and connect the LAN cable to the access point.
- Now you have to make some settings. To do this, enter the address of the access point in your browser. You can find this either on the back of the device or in the manual.
- If necessary, you must now log in with the login data, which you can also find in the manual.
- Then switch to "Wireless" or "Wireless" to set up the access point.
- Here, just like with the router, you have to specify the network encryption and enter a password (network key).
- If you have successfully saved the data, you can now connect to the access point via WLAN as usual.
