Adobe Acrobat: How to reduce the size of PDF documents
You can reduce the size of large PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat so that you use less storage space. Our instructions will help you with this.
Shrink PDF documents - this is how you proceed
These instructions refer to Adobe Acrobat 11.0.0.
- Open your PDF document with Adobe Acrobat.
- Click File> Save As and choose Optimized PDF.
- Now check where the most memory is used by clicking on "Memory Check".
- In the left bar you can choose which elements you want to compress.
- Since images usually use the most storage space, you should change the image settings.
- The lower the ppi value (pixel per inch), the less memory is used. This reduces the quality of the images.
