Motion tracking in After Effects - how it works
- Open After Effects and drag the video into the program.
- Move the right bar to the place of the video where you want to apply the effect.
- Then click on the "Tracker" tab at the bottom right and then "Track property".
- To track the desired scene, set the point at "Pos." and at "Dreh.".
- In the video you will now find the two tracker points. Drag this to the desired location where the scene should be followed.
- With a click on "Analyze forward" in the tab "Tracker" you can understand the movement.
- If you are satisfied with the motion tracker, you can save it for the video with "Apply".
