In our instructions, we show you step by step how to render and export a composition in Adobe After Effects.
Render and export composition in Adobe After Effects
- Select the "Composition" tab in the menu bar and then click on "Add to render list". Alternatively, you can use the key combination [Ctrl] + [M].
- By clicking on the "Lossless" item, which you will find under "Output module", you can set the format, codec, channels, color depth and size. You will also find audio output options here. By default, you export your composition as an AVI file. You can find numerous ready-made settings using the arrow.
- You can open the render settings by clicking on "Optimal settings". You can use the arrow to access various presets.
- You can adjust the quality, resolution and frame rate, among other things. You also have the option of manually adjusting the start and end of the video.
- Under the item "Save as" select the folder to which your composition should be exported.
- You start the rendering process by clicking on "Render" on the right side of the screen. You can follow the progress via the bar that is located above the render settings. After the process is complete, you will find the video file in the folder you selected previously.
