Free audition alternative: Audacity
Freeware Audacity is a good alternative to Adobe Audition.
- Audacity impresses with a simple interface, which means that beginners can quickly find their way around the program.
- The quality of the processing is not quite as high as that of Audition, but the program comes for free.
- Nevertheless, Audacity contains professional noise filters and supports the most important audio codecs. The tool also allows multiple audio track recording.
- Since Audacity has versions for Mac OS, Windows and Linux, you can use the tool under different operating systems. There is also a large community, so you can find many help pages and tutorials.
The Apple alternative: Logic Pro X
Apple has revived its Logic Pro virtual recording studio. You can also use this as a very good alternative to Adobe Audition.
- Compared to Adobe Audition, Logic Pro is significantly cheaper with a price of less than 200 euros.
- The tool works with GarageBand. You can therefore continue to work on your projects professionally.
- MainStage and Logic are also integrated into each other, so Logic can also be used for live performances.
- New features allow you, for example, to precisely adjust individual tones of a singer or to control them remotely via an iPad.
Alternative to Audition: PreSonus Studio One
Another good audition alternative is Studio One from PreSonus.
