Adobe Lightroom: Use geotagging for images

In Adobe Lightroom you can carry out a so-called "geotagging" with your pictures - ie add the GPS coordinates of the location to them. You can even organize your photos as pins on an interactive world map.
Add GPS coordinates to images
- To tag your images, you must first import them into your Lightroom catalog.
- Then select the photos in the library that you want to add GPS coordinates to. You can also tag several images at the same time by clicking on them one after the other while holding down the [Ctrl] key.
- Go to the "Map" menu at the top right.
- Now determine the location of your photo on the map. You can help yourself with the search function.
- Once you've found the right place, right-click on it and select the "Add GPS coordinates to the selected images" option.
- You can see from the small pin symbols on the pictures that geotagging worked.
Tip: Not a few cameras can now independently save the location of a photo taken - especially if you take photos with your smartphone. So check whether you can use a corresponding function on your camera. This will save you the manual tagging completely.
