Adobe Photoshop: Remove background of an image
With Adobe Photoshop, you can easily remove the background of an image. The program prepares the tool "Background Eraser". This allows a motif to be clipped from a troubled background so that it can be inserted elsewhere. We'll show you how it works.
Remove background of an image with Photoshop
Start Photoshop and open the image you want to edit.
- Select "Expert" above and right-click on the eraser in the toolbar on the left.
- Select the "Background Eraser" and set a pixel size that you can use to remove the background. Choose a large area for large areas, reduce the pixel size for small details.
- With the center of the eraser circle, click on the parts of the image you want to remove. The eraser area automatically adjusts to the limits of the subject you are cutting out. When the background is cut out, a checkerboard pattern appears.
- You can also drag the eraser along the borders with the mouse button pressed. If you accidentally delete part of the design, you can undo the step by clicking on "Undo".
- When you are finished, save the image. The background is now removed.
