Adobe Premiere: Insert Slow Motion
With Adobe Premiere you can add a slow motion effect to your videos and play them in slow motion. We show you in our step-by-step instructions and a picture gallery how to use the feature.
Paste slow motion into Adobe Premiere
Certain moments, such as in sports videos, simply work better in slow motion. In Adobe Premiere, it only takes a few clicks to give your videos that special touch:
- Import the video into your Premiere project.
- Drag and drop the video onto the timeline.
- Via the menu item "Clip" you get to "Speed / Duration". Alternatively, you can open the context menu and this menu with a right mouse click in the timeline.
- A window for setting the speed now opens. Here you set the speed. Choose a value less than 100%. If you don't want to apply slow motion to the entire video, you can also determine the duration of the effect here.
- Now the film is played back for the specified sequence at a slower rate. Play a little bit at speed to get the best result.
We will show you the individual steps again in our picture gallery.
