Adobe Premiere: Insert text into a video - how it works
With Adobe Premiere, you can easily insert text elements into a video. There are two ways to do this: First, the placement of text by a third-party file and the fading of a video title in Adobe Premiere. We'll show you how it's done.
- Select a clip and click on "Title" -> "New Title" -> "Standard Title" in the top menu bar.
- Name your title and click "OK".
- You can now enter text into the video and format it using the top panel. Once you're happy, you can close the window to get back to your video.
- Now drag the newly created title from the working files of your project onto a video track.
Insert external video text in Adobe Premiere
If you want to insert a text with shape, for example from an Adobe Illustrator file, you can do this via "Import":
- Click on "File" -> "Import" and select an external file - for example from Adobe Illustrator.
- You can now also drag this file from your working files onto any video track.
