Adobe Reader cannot be installed - you can do that
If the program cannot be installed, you can carry out the following steps to make the installation work again:
- Your antivirus program may have incorrectly recognized the tool as a virus and therefore blocked it. Therefore, briefly deactivate your antivirus program before installing Adobe Reader.
- For the tool to work properly, you should make sure that your PC meets the minimum requirements.
- You must also be logged on as an administrator in Windows to install the program. If this is the case, right click on the installer and select "Run as administrator".
- If the software cannot be installed despite administrator rights, you can try to create a new administrator account and then install it there.
- Make sure you install the latest version of Adobe Reader. You can find these in our download portal.
- During the installation, you must specify the path under which Adobe Reader should be installed. Here you have to make sure that you have the necessary access rights for the selected path.
- Tip: We recommend that you close all background programs while installing Adobe Reader.
