Advent decoration: How to decorate festively before Christmas
Many of us cannot wait to finally get the Christmas decorations out. We have been putting up our favorite decorations for years and enjoy the beautiful pieces. If you are still looking for new decoration ideas, you can find them here.
Festive decoration in Advent
In Advent, for example, you can make your front yard festive.
- Bring light into the dark and put candles on. Large lanterns on exterior steps in the entrance area are particularly effective. You can decorate them with red pillar candles and a red bow around them.
- Decorate your now empty flower tubs and flower boxes with fir branches. These are simply put into the still existing earth. In between you can put red balls, bows or other objects to your heart's content.
- Do you have a garden fence? Great, then you can hang bundled fir branches on the posts. Decorated with a large red or white bow, these are a particularly pretty sight when you come home.
- String lights or illuminated lighting objects are always a good idea if you have an external socket. Whether you decorate a fir tree with chains or attach reindeers to your house wall, there is no limit to your imagination.
Balls and lights in the run-up to Christmas
It's getting cozy inside now too.
- Fir garlands with integrated fairy lights are a nice eye-catcher in the hallway. They are best used around a banister or attached over the front door.
- You can also equip a staircase step by step with small tealight holders. These point the way up and at the same time replace the cold ceiling lighting.
- In the run-up to Christmas, the walls are decorated with homemade advent calendars and wreaths made of fir or branches. These can be decorated with tree decorations and also illuminated with fairy lights.
- Arrangements and candles can be placed on the tables and window sills. Or decorate a small still life consisting of some moss, a deer, artificial snow and small mushrooms.
