AdwCleaner: Database damaged - you can do that
If the AdwCleaner reports that the database is damaged, the software cannot do its job. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
AdwCleaner: Repair damaged database
- If AdwCleaner has already been used on your computer, an old version of the database can cause the problem. However, this can be easily deleted.
- Close the AdwCleaner and simultaneously press the [Windows] and [E] keys. Navigate here to the hard disk "C:", there you will find the folder "AdwCleaner".
- If you simply delete the entire folder, the database is also removed. If you download the latest version from AdwCleaner, the most current database will be loaded.
AdwCleaner: Damaged database keeps coming back
- If the problem persists, the tool will likely be prevented from downloading the database. Before starting, simply switch off your anti-virus software to rule out a blockage.
- Under certain circumstances, the firewall can also block it. In this case you can turn off the firewall. However, first deactivate the connection to the Internet.
- If you don't want to spend too much time troubleshooting, you can also simply use alternative software. The Junkware Removal Tool works similarly efficiently.
