After Effects: "Loops" - How to repeat animations
In Adobe After Effects, you can repeat animations using loops. In this practical tip we will show you how you can apply this effect.
Set the loop in After Effects - so it'll work
- Start After Effects and drag the video into the program to which you want to add the effect.
- Use the key combination [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C] to create a so-called subcomposition of the video.
- You can then simply drag and drop the existing attributes to the new composition and apply them.
- Then right-click the video and choose Time> Time Distortion.
- Hold down the [Alt] key and then click the stopwatch.
- An input field appears. Enter the command "loopOut (type =" cycle ")" and confirm with "OK".
- This will repeat the specified video permanently. With the command "loopOut (type =" pingpong ")" the video is repeated alternately in forward and backward movement.
- You then only have to pull the end point of the video backwards to create the so-called loop.
