Aion: Collecting raw materials - the best tips
In Aion you can collect countless raw materials in the form of essences and ethers. With these, you create new items, equip yourself and boost the economy of Aion properly. We have summarized the best tips for hardworking raw material collectors in this article.
Aion: Basic tips for collecting raw materials
In itself, it is not difficult to collect raw materials in Aion: you click on the resource of your choice, wait and hope that everything works. However, there are a few small things to consider.
- A basic distinction is made between two resources: essences and ether.
- Essences can be anything from fish to wood to precious stones, but ether are special mystical elements that you can only reach at lofty heights.
- As a person, you can only collect simple raw materials up to rank 50. Only with the change to the Daeva do all possibilities open up for you.
- Essence and ether extraction have two separate talent paths, for which you can collect up to 500 points each time you use them. This is how you train yourself from beginner to expert and find ever more valuable resources.
- When training, however, you must make sure that the difference between your ability and resource level must not be greater than 40, otherwise you will no longer gain experience. You still get the resources yourself.
- As a beginner, you can only train up to level 99. To move up to the next rank, visit Elyos Carnelius in Sanctum or Asmodian Latatusk in Pandaemonium so that they can train you and unlock higher levels. The same applies to levels 199, 299 and 399.
- If you not only want to collect resources on the side, but want to actively search for them, the hats that you can get from Sabotes in Sanctum or Relir in Pandaemonium help. These show you resource points on your map.
- In order for the collection to be successful, there must always be a slot in your inventory.
- Essence extraction is usually more exciting, but don't neglect the ether. Last but not least, you can also make essences from them.
Aion: Expert tips for collecting raw materials
- If a recipe calls for refined resources such as higher quality gold ore instead of regular gold ore, you need critical success in resource gathering.
- This critical consequence happens to be one, two, and even triple with some resources like Mithril. These materials are then available in four variants.
- The difference between the variants is marked with prefixed words such as "large", "pure", "fresh" or "brilliant". A regular variant has nothing in front.
- Keep an eye out for large resource points, especially in dangerous corners. These look like the regular ones, but are a lot bigger and can be broken down up to 10 times.
- Certain essences from level 280 have a low chance of finding mementos. These can be used to make numerous weapons and shields in special recipes.
- There is a specific recipe for each weapon type with a specific memento, which you can only find in one resource type. The memento for the bow can only be found, for example, in wood resources.
- You can also get petals from plants to color your clothes.
- High level resource points are also worthwhile if you are not interested in the resources themselves, because here you can find some good buff and healing items.
