Air View on Samsung Galaxy S4 does not work - what to do?
With Air View on the Samsung Galaxy S4, information about the app is shown to you even before your finger touches the display. This practical tip shows you what you can do if the Air View doesn't work.
Air View is deactivated in the settings
The simplest reason could be that you have deactivated the Air View in the settings of your android. You activate the Air View for your S4:
- Go to the main menu of your android and click on the gear to go to the settings.
- Now tap on the "My device" tab at the top.
- Here you look for the entry "Air View". Make sure that the controller is set to "on". You can recognize this from the fact that it has a colored background and is shifted to the right. Tap the control to turn Air View on.
- To set the Air View for the individual applications, tap on "Air View" to the left of the controller. Make sure that all applications are checked.
Air View generally doesn't support your gesture
Air View does not support all applications on your S4. How you can activate and deactivate the Air View for the individual applications can be seen in the fourth point above. The following applications work with Air View:
- Web page magnification
- Progress bar
- Preview in the gallery
- Preview news
- Preview in the S Planner
- Speed dial preview
Display film is annoying with the Air View
In rare cases, the problem arises that the Air View does not work 100 percent with certain display films. If you have activated both the Air View and the corresponding applications, but the Air View still does not work, you should try removing your film as a test. At this point, a high touch sensitivity could also help. You activate this in the settings under "Display".
