AirPods Settings: How to configure the headphones correctly
In this practical tip we will show you how to set the AirPods correctly. For example, you can specify what happens when you tap the headphones and when you want the music to stop automatically.
AirPods Settings: How to configure the headphones correctly
First switch to the "Settings" app and tap on "Bluetooth". Then tap the "i" behind the AirPods.
- At the top, you can either disconnect the device or ignore it.
- You can also define a name for your AirPods under "Name".
- The setting "Double tap on AirPods" is important. Here you can define which action is to be carried out by tapping the headphones twice. Either Siri is activated, or the current music is stopped or started.
- If the "Automatic ear detection" function is activated, music will be played as soon as you put the AirPods in your ear.
- Finally, you can choose whether the microphone should be used in the left or right AirPod. The setting "automatic" is recommended here, so that - if you only have one headphone in your ear - you do not have to switch.
In the next practical tip, we will introduce you to a Bluetooth standard for similar headsets that can travel over 400 meters.
