AirPods don't last: these tricks always help
If the AirPods don't hold, you can easily lose the Bluetooth headphones. The problem with Apple's AirPods is that they are only available in one size. According to Apple, they would fit in everyone's ears, but many people still have problems. We help and show how the AirPods also hold in your ear.
AirPods are not in the ear - what to do?
If the AirPods keep slipping out of your ear, you can give them a little more grip yourself:
- You need rough plasters or plasters off the roll and a punch.
- How it works: Punch several small pieces out of the pavement. Glue these to the AirPods once at the top and once at the bottom so that they become a little larger.
- Depending on how big your ears are, you need to glue several pieces on top of each other. Try it out with one or two patches first - the AirPods may already hold.
- The plasters are particularly suitable because they are kind to the skin and give additional hold due to their rough surface structure.
DIY trick: Foam covers for AirPods give better grip
If you are not satisfied with the first solution, you can make your own foam cover:
- For this you need simple foam covers for headphones, which are available in large quantities for a good euro. You will also need a needle and a lighter. As an alternative to the needle, a cannula is also suitable.
- Here's how it works: You can easily pull the foam covers over the AirPods. However, they then cover the Bluetooth sensor. Therefore you have to mark the location of the sensors on the foam and then pull the foam off the AirPods again.
- Then heat the tip of the needle with a lighter and then burn a hole in the topcoat. To do this, hold the needle at the point you marked earlier.
- Then test whether the AirPods can already receive the Bluetooth signal from the cell phone or whether you need to enlarge the hole a little.
