If your AirPods are not charging, there can be several reasons. We'll show you what you can do if you have difficulty charging your headphones.
AirPods don't charge - it could be because of that
First, check that the Lightning to USB cable is properly connected to the charging case. If you are using a Qi charger, make sure there is a solid connection to the power source.
- Now put your AirPods in the case and let them charge for at least 15 minutes.
- If you use a Qi charger, the status LED from the case must point upwards. After a few seconds the status display should go out and the charging process should begin. If the LED does not light up at all, it is best to use the charging cable supplied.
- Check the status of your AirPods while charging by connecting to your iPhone or iPad. In addition to the current battery level of the devices, you should now see a small flash. This indicates that charging is currently in progress.
- If your Airpods still don't charge, contact Apple customer service.
