Add album art to music - Here's how
So that your eyes also have something from your MP3 collection, you can add an album cover to your songs. This practical tip shows you how this works with the freeware "Mp3tag".
Include the cover tag in the music album
At the bottom of the picture gallery you will find the individual steps again in pictures.
- Download the Mp3tag program and run it after installation.
- If you want to cover a complete album, click on "File" in the top left corner and select "Change directory" in the context menu.
- If you want to add a cover to a single audio file, you can also drag and drop it into the "Mp3tag" window.
- Use the mouse pointer to select all pieces of music that are to be given an album cover.
- Click on "Tag Sources" at the top of the tab and select in the context menu from which source you want to get the album cover, for example "Amazon.de".
- A new window will appear. Customize the name of the album and click "Next".
- Select the appropriate search entry and also click on "Next" in this window.
- Finally, you can add more tags. When the process is finished, click on the "Ok" button. The tag information is then written into your music.
Insert your own album art into the MP3 collection
Of course you can also insert a cover you have created yourself into your music.
- Follow steps one through four as described above.
- Click on "View" at the top of the tab and on "Extended Tags" in the context menu.
- Select the icon for "Add Cover ..." on the right side.
- You can use the Explorer to search for the image file that you want to insert as album art. Select this with the mouse pointer and click on "Open".
- Now you will be presented with a preview of the cover. If you are satisfied with it, click on "OK". The cover will then be integrated into your music file.
