Alexa: How to clear history
If the Alexa history is now too long for you, you can either delete individual records or delete the entire history. You can read how to do this in this practical tip.
Alexa: delete individual records - how it works
Open the Alexa overview page in the browser.
- Go to "Settings" in the left side menu and scroll down to "General".
- Click on "History" to see all of Alexa’s voice recordings. Click on the message you want to delete and select "Delete voice recordings".
- Alternatively, you can delete the voice messages from a certain period. To do this, click on "Alexa data protection" under "Settings" in the "Alexa account" section.
- You will be redirected to an Amazon site. Here you select "Check voice recording history".
- On the next page, select the desired period for which you want to delete the history from the pull-down menu. You have the options "Today", "Yesterday", "This week", "This month" or "History". You can also set a user-defined period.
- Clicking on the link below will delete the voice recordings for the specified period.
Delete the entire history of the voice assistant
If you want to delete the entire history, go to www.amazon.de/mycd in the browser and log in with your access data.
- Switch to the "My bones" tab and click on the button with the three dots in front of Amazon Echo.
- If you select "Manage voice recordings" in the context menu, a dialog box appears. Click "Clear" here to remove all history.
