Alexa lights up green when you activate the new feature. This allows you to make calls via Alexa. Even if you have set up a drop-in, the color ring lights up green when the action is taken. More on this in the following practical tip.
Alexa lights up green: meaning of the light ring
- Amazon has also activated the telephone function for the popular Amazon Echo and Echo Dot for Germany.
- The new feature brings a little more color and thus new life and a bit of disco feeling into the everyday life of your Alexa.
- The color ring lights up pulsating green when you receive a call.
- The prerequisite for this is, of course, that you have set up the Amazon Echo for the telephone function. You can do this in the Alexa app.
- The ring lights up green even when you are on a call or on a call. However, the green light does not pulse in this case. A green color ring is displayed that rotates counterclockwise.
- As soon as you end the call, the green light goes out.
Amazon Echo and Echo Dot: Green at Drop In
- With the Drop In function, you can give others permission to call you using the Echo, even if the caller does not have an Echo Dot or Amazon Echo.
- You can also use Alexa to communicate within your home, as long as you have set up multiple dots.
- To use this feature, you must first activate and set up Drop In for Alexa.
- Then a green, anti-clockwise color ring not only signals an active phone call. The same signal appears when there is an active drop-in, for example when you call your family to the dining table via Alexa.
