Connect Alexa to Bluetooth speaker
If you want to control a Bluetooth speaker via Alexa, you only have to connect the speaker to an Echo device from Amazon. We'll show you how it's done.
Instructions: Connect Bluetooth speaker to Alexa
Tip: At least for the first connection, the Echo device and the Bluetooth speaker should be in the immediate vicinity.
- Put the Bluetooth speaker in pairing mode. To do this, you usually have to press and hold the Bluetooth or power button briefly.
- Open the Alexa app on your smartphone and select the desired Echo device in the menu under "Settings".
- Go to the "Bluetooth" category and tap the "Pair a new device" option.
- If you select the speaker, the connection is then established. If this is not the case, start the pairing mode again.
- In the "Devices" category you will now also find the Bluetooth speaker. You can now use this to play music using a voice command.
- You can use the "Connect" and "Disconnect" commands to establish and end the connection.
