Alexa: Set sleep timer for Amazon Echo
If Amazon's Alexa should only play music for a certain time, you can set a sleep timer. It works very simply with a voice command.
Set sleep timer for Alexa
Whether you're playing Spotify, listening to an Audible audiobook or using Alexa to fall asleep - you can activate a sleep timer every time you play it.
- To do this, give the Amazon Echo the command "Alexa, set a sleep timer to XY minutes" or "Alexa, set a sleep timer to XY hours". There is no limit for the timer time.
- As soon as the timer expires, Alexa automatically turns off the music. Alternatively, you can stop the timer at any time with the command "Alexa, end the sleep timer".
- Tip: In the Alexa app, you can follow the sleep timer precisely in the "Timer" area via the "Reminders and alarm clock" tab.
