Remove Alexa Toolbar - Here's how it works
We'll show you how to remove the Alexa Toolbar, which you often accidentally install when you install other programs.
Firefox: Remove Alexa Toolbar again
- Open the Firefox browser and go to Tools> Add-ons.
- In the opened window, select the Alexa Toolbar under "Extensions".
- If you have selected Alexa Toolbar, the "Uninstall" button appears. Clicking on it removes the toolbar. Then restart the browser.
Chrome: Uninstall Alexa Toolbar
- When you have opened the Google Chrome browser, click on the three lines at the top right, the menu.
- Then choose Settings> Extensions. Here you will find the installed add-ons, including the Alexa Toolbar.
- After you have selected the toolbar, a garbage can appears behind the selection. Clicking on it will uninstall the toolbar. Then you have to restart the browser.
Internet Explorer: How to get rid of the Alexa Toolbar
- With Internet Explorer open, click on "Extra" in the top right corner and then on "Manage add-ons".
- If you need to select sub-categories on the left, select "Toolbars and Extensions" and then select the Alexa Toolbar.
- Select the toolbar and click "Remove" at the bottom of the window. Now restart the browser.
Tip: Alternatively, you can also use a program such as the free tool "IObit Uninstaller" to uninstall annoying programs and toolbars using a graphical user interface.
