Set old German font in Word - how it works
If your computer does not have the old German font, you can set it up in Word after a short installation. We'll show you how it's done.
Word: Write in old German script
- Open the website Schrifarten-Fonts.de and choose the desired version of the old German font.
- If you have found a suitable variant, click on the "Download" button to the right of it.
- You will be forwarded and an automatic download will start. Please do not use the downloaded EXE file. This is used to install unnecessary additional software.
- Instead, click the "ZIP download" button in the top right. Then a ZIP file with the font is saved on your PC.
- Open the ZIP file and open the TTF file it contains. You may have to extract the ZIP file beforehand.
- If you have opened the TTF file with a double click, you will see a preview of the font.
- If you click the "Install" button above, the font will be integrated into Windows. You can now also use the font in Word.
We will show you how to write in mirror writing in Word in the next practical tip.
