Delete old Java version - how it works
In this guide, we show you how to delete old Java versions from your PC.
Java: delete old versions
- The easiest way to delete the old Java versions is to use the free "JavaRa" tool.
- To do this, simply unzip the ZIP archive and start the "JavaRa.exe" file.
- Click on "Update Java Runtime" and install the current Java version. In the next step you can remove older versions of Java.
- Alternatively, you can manually delete old Java versions in the Control Panel under "Uninstall Programs". Outdated Java programs are usually displayed under the names "J2SE", "Java 2", "Java SE" or "Java Runtime Environment".
- If you are unsure, you can also uninstall all versions. Then simply import the latest Java version again.
