Delete old JRE - how it works
JRE stands for Java Runtime Environment and means Java runtime environment. We show you how to delete old versions of the software here.
Remove old JRE in Control Panel - this is the best way to proceed
- Go to the Control Panel on your Windows system.
- Click on "Uninstall a program" in "Programs".
- The best thing to do is to click on the "Name" column to sort the list by name.
- Scroll to the letter [J].
- There you will find the various "Java SE Development Kits" and "Java Updates" that you have installed on the PC.
- You can uninstall the older versions there.
- To do this, mark the version and click on "Uninstall" at the top. Finally, follow the uninstall instructions.
