Alternatives to Google Wifi: router with mesh WiFi
Google WiFi mesh WiFi is also available on some other routers. In contrast to normal WLAN repeaters, they not only increase the range, but also the transmission rate. Because the Google WiFis form a tight network, check the connection with each other and then establish the fastest connection to the end device. There are these alternatives to the Google WiFi router:
- Netgear Orbi: For a comprehensive Internet connection at home, you can use Netgear Orbi with mesh WiFi. Simply place the router in your house and you can surf the Internet. Price: around 410 euros - to the shop
- Linksys Velop: The Linksys model is also available in Germany. The mode of operation is similar, so that you can set up a nationwide WiFi network in no time at all. Price: from 200 euros - more information
- Ubiquiti AmpliFi Home: Alternatively, you can also use this product with mesh WiFi for a well-developed WiFi network at home. It costs around 393 euros and can be ordered via Amazon.
- Note: Since the technology of mesh WiFi is still quite new, there are currently only a few offers in Germany.
- However, the offer will be expanded in just a few months and several devices will be available. The prices will then also drop somewhat.
