If you use regular correspondence, use alternatives to the closing formula "Sincerely, " leave a good impression in the long run. In this article, we propose three serious greetings for emails and letters.
"With kind regards" - create variety with alternative greetings
The closing formula "Yours sincerely" is serious and friendly. With regular correspondence or mail, however, you should vary the greeting conclusion a little.
- If a correspondence ends with the words "Yours sincerely", you are certainly not doing anything wrong, but the final formula is impersonal.
- Just as distant and serious you end a message with the greeting "Many greetings".
- "Kind regards" at the end of a letter or an email are far more personal. If you are looking for the middle way between "friendly" and "warm", choose the variant "Best regards".
- With regular mail or mail traffic, you can end the message more personally. For example, make a reference to the location. A possible greeting would be "Greetings from xxx".
- However, the addressee will also be happy if you mention his place of origin. With the closing formula "Greetings after xxx" you convey appreciation to your counterpart.
