Set an age limit on the Wii U.
The age restriction allows you to limit access to games for certain age groups. You can also block the Internet browser or Miiverse:
- Click Age Restrictions on the Wii-U menu.
- Set a secret number and a security question as well as the appropriate answer. You can then register your email address.
- In the next window click on "Age restrictions".
- Now you can see the different users of your console. You can set any restrictions or locks for each user here. Functions such as online access in games, Miiverse or general Internet settings will block you from the user you want.
- The age restriction for games is especially useful: Here you block games for which your child is not yet old enough. To do this, simply set the appropriate age.
- Access to Wii-U shop services and Miiverse can also be blocked. The entertainment support locks you next to the file management.
Note: You should memorize the PIN for the age restriction so that you can make changes at any time. The individual user accounts of the Wii U should be password-protected so that younger users do not simply have access to games with higher age ratings with an adult account.
