This is how you can download / activate and use Alexa
Alexa was created for the most popular mobile operating systems and browsers. Here we show you which operating systems and browsers are supported and where you can download the app.
- Android: Version 5.0 or higher. You can download Alexa from CHIP, directly from the Play Store or from the Amazon Appstore if you have activated "Install via unknown sources".
- iOS: Version 9.0 or higher. As with Android, you can either go to CHIP or download Alexa directly from the App Store.
- Fire OS: Version 3.0 or higher. Since Fire OS is Amazon's own version of Android, Alexa is either already installed or you can install it via the Amazon Appstore.
- Browser: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer (version 10 or higher). If you have an internet connection, you can go to alexa.amazon.de and set up Alexa there.
- Windows 10: Alexa is now also available as an app for Windows 10. You can find the file either at CHIP or directly in the Microsoft Store.
