Amazon: Ask the seller a question - Here's how
If you have a request for an item on Amazon or for an order, you can send it directly to the respective seller. In this article, we will show you where to find the corresponding function.
1. Ask a seller a question about an item on Amazon
- Go to the product page of the desired item.
- Below the price you can see the availability of the item and below it the name of the seller behind "Sell through". Click on it.
- You will be taken to the seller page. Scroll down a bit here until you see the orange-colored heading "More Information" on the right.
- Click on the "Contact seller" button below. This is in a different position on each seller's page.
- Choose whether you have a question about your order or an item offered. If you would like information on an order that has already been placed, select the relevant article.
- Find the appropriate subject and click on "Write message".
- Enter your text and finally click on the yellow button "Send E-Mail". You will then receive a confirmation by email, in which your sent message is included again.
- Note: It can take significantly longer for marketplace sellers than for Amazon to get an answer.
2. Ask a seller a question about an order on Amazon
If you have already ordered the article in question, you can access the contact form even faster via your account:
- Move the mouse over your name in the top right corner. A context menu opens.
- Click on "My Orders".
- Find the relevant article in the overview. Click the "Contact seller" button on the right.
- Select the correct subject and click on "Write message".
- Enter your question and add an attachment if necessary. Tip: If an already delivered item is defective or looks different from the one shown, it is worthwhile to attach a photo of it directly. An exchange or reimbursement can usually be initiated even faster.
- Finally click on "Send E-Mail".
If you have a question about an item sold by Amazon itself, you can contact Amazon customer service.
