Use Amazon Echo with external speakers - how it works
If the sound from the Amazon Echo or Echo Dot is not enough for you, you can also play it via external speakers. We'll show you what you need and how to do it.
Use external speakers with Amazon Echo
- The connection to external speakers is particularly worthwhile for playing music. However, in order to hear any feedback from Alexa at all, the loudspeakers must always remain switched on or be switched on beforehand.
- In most cases you need an audio cable adapter to connect to a music system. If you have speakers with an AUX input, you need a double-sided AUX cable.
Instructions: Connect Amazon Echo to external speakers
- To connect the two devices, all you have to do is plug the cable into the correct openings. You can't go wrong here.
- Amazon recommends placing the Echo at least one meter away from the speakers. This means that the device can still be heard while listening to louder music.
- Start music and set the Amazon Echo to maximum volume. Depending on whether you want to control the volume by voice command or the system in the future, you can now set the desired volume on the system.
