Amazon Echo: Add users - how it works
You can add multiple users to your Amazon Echo. Here we explain how it works and what disadvantages there are.
Add users to Amazon Echo
If you would like to add another account to your Amazon Echo, you have to link the corresponding Amazon accounts. Your bank information is thus visible to the other person and purchases could also be made. Keep this in mind before you link your accounts.
- To do this, log into your Amazon account and click on "Accounts and Lists" in the top right.
- Navigate to "My content and devices" in the drop-down menu. You will receive a menu with three tabs. Select the right entry "Settings".
- Under the heading "Households and family library" click on the "Invite an adult" button (see screenshot). The second person can now log in with their Amazon data on the following screen. Alternatively, an account can be created at this point if none is available yet.
- As soon as you have set up the link, you can change the profile with the voice command "Alexa, change profile". The voice assistant gives you the current profile with the command "Alexa, which profile is this?" back.
- Note: For security reasons, you can only reconnect two accounts after 180 days have been removed.
