Amazon Echo: Send WhatsApp messages - how it works
If you want to send messages with your Amazon Echo, this is currently not possible via WhatsApp. We'll show you what alternatives there are.
Send WhatsApp messages with Amazon Echo
- There is currently no skill that links the Amazon Echo with WhatsApp. When and if it will happen at the moment is still completely open.
- Messages and calls between different Echo users and Fire Tablet users are not a problem, however. Open the Echo app on your smartphone and tap the speech bubble icon at the bottom.
- With the new function "Drop in" you can link Alexa to your mobile number. With the voice command "Alexa, send a message to Max Mustermann", you can dictate your message.
- If you would also like to send messages to people without an echo, you can install the "Push Message" skill. The recipient does not need an echo, but the associated "Push Message" app on his smartphone.
