If you have found the cause of the WLAN problem, the solution is not far away:
- The first measure for WLAN problems with the Amazon Echo should be to restart the cylinder and the router. Restarting resolves many technical problems by itself, and not only with the echo.
- If the WLAN problem persists, check the password. Here, a mistake in sneaking in like to creep in.
- In addition to the WLAN password, another security mechanism can be activated in the router, the MAC filter. If this is the case, entering the WLAN password is not sufficient. You must then also store the MAC address of the Amazon Echo in the MAC filter of the router. Otherwise, no WLAN connection can be established. - The problem may also be the strength of your WLAN signal. If the signal is too weak, the Amazon Echo will not connect to the WLAN. To do this, test the distance to the router or repeater.
- If the connection still does not work, try changing the frequency bandwidth between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
- Also check whether the WiFi problem only affects the Amazon Echo or other devices.
