Amazon Fire TV: No sound - you can do that
Enjoy streaming on demand on your Amazon Fire TV. If you have no sound, this may be due to incorrect settings. Find out in this practical tip what you can do about it.
No sound on Amazon Fire TV solutions
- Make sure the TV volume is not muted or quiet. For test purposes, simply increase the volume on the television.
- On the Fire TV, go to "Settings" -> "Sounds and screens" -> "Dolby Digital Output" from the start page and make sure that the "Dolby Digital Plus" setting is set to "Off".
- You also need to check that the HDMI cable is intact and that the connectors are properly seated. The cable must not be defective or broken.
- In many cases it can help if you briefly disconnect the cable from the Fire TV and then plug it in again.
Other solutions: Amazon Fire TV doesn't produce any sound
- To test if there is a problem with the HDMI cable, you can connect it to another device and test it. If you don't get any sound there, you should replace the cable.
- You can also try to update the Fire TV to the latest version. A current update may fix these problems.
- If you no longer have any sound after switching to the Fire TV's standby mode, it can help if you briefly change the source on the TV. This often works with a button called "Source". Then switch back to the Fire TV.
