Amazon Kindle: eBook shop not working - what to do?
If the Kindle eBook shop doesn't work for you, there are a number of reasons why. Here we tell you what you can do then.
Amazon Kindle's eBook shop doesn't work - it could be because of it
If you suddenly no longer have access to the Amazon Kindlle eBook shop, the problem is either with your device or with Amazon itself:
- First, check that you are connected to a WiFi network. You can try to disconnect and then re-establish it.
- At the same time, you can be sure that you also have an Internet connection here. To do this, however, you need to pick up a second device, such as your smartphone, and connect to the same network.
- Open the Amazon page on your PC or laptop and enter your login data there. You may have mistyped the Kindle, which is why the shop is not displayed.
- Most of the time, fix the problem by restarting Kindle:
- To do this, press and hold the on / off switch for approx. 20 seconds until the screen turns gray. Then you have to keep the switch pressed for another 20 seconds until the device has switched on again.
- Your account may also have been blocked, which is why you no longer have access to the shop or other eBooks. In this case, you should contact Amazon customer service.
