Amazon: Find out customer number - how it works
Most retailers require your customer number for complaints, exchanges or support requests. In this article we explain how it is on Amazon and where you can find your customer number.
Amazon: Find out your own customer number
You have a personal customer number at almost every online shop. With Amazon, however, this is a little different. Here you don't have a classic customer number, just a unique URL combination for your account. You can use this customer number to find other Amazon users and read your reviews.
- Open the Amazon website and log in with your account data.
- At the top right click on "My Account" and in the "Community" section on the entry "My Public Profile".
- You will now find your customer number behind the "profile" section in the URL. It consists of several numbers and letters.
- Example: If your Amazon URL is "//www.amazon.de/gp/profile/EJPOKL15LOP0", if you look at your public profile, your customer number is "EJPOKL15LOP0".
Alternatively: Find order number on Amazon
In addition to the customer number mentioned above, there are so-called order numbers on Amazon. You need them for support requests and complaints, among other things. You will find them in your order overview.
- Open the Amazon website in your browser and log in with your account data.
- In the top right click on the entry "My Account".
- Then you decide on the entry "My orders". A list of all of your purchases on Amazon opens.
- If you search for the desired product there, you will find the order number to the right of the corresponding entry.
