Amazon Music without a Prime account - how it works
If you want to use Amazon Music without a Prime account, this is possible under certain conditions. We show you what works and what doesn't.
No Prime Account: Use Amazon Music anyway
Amazon has two music services on offer. In addition to Amazon Prime Music, there is also Amazon Music Unlimited. The two services are very similar, but there are two major differences.
- Amazon Prime Music is only for Prime customers. If you use Amazon Prime or have a free trial subscription, you also get access to Amazon Music. You will find numerous songs here, but far from the full range.
- Only Amazon Music Unlimited offers real competition with Spotify, Deezer and Co. Here you will find the usual around 50 million songs from all over the world, radio plays and the live broadcast of all games from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga and the DFB Cup. You don't need Prime for Music Unlimited.
- The service also has its price for this: As with Spotify, you pay EUR 9.99 per month. Prime subscribers only pay EUR 7.99 per month or EUR 79 per year in advance.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how much data volume Amazon Music uses.
