Amazon Prime: How to share your membership
If you enjoy Amazon Prime membership, you can share it with other people in the household. Up to four people can be added to your Prime membership in this way. However, there are also restrictions. You can find out what these are and how to invite people in this practical tip.
Amazon Prime - share benefits
If you are using a trial membership from Amazon Student or Amazon Family benefits, you will unfortunately not be able to share this Prime membership. Even with a normal Prime subscription, the Kindle lending library cannot be used by other people in the household. All other benefits, such as next day delivery and free shipping, are included for the other four people. To share your subscription, do the following:
- Move the mouse over the "Account and Lists" button and click on My Prime Membership.
- Now you can click on "Invite members in the household". Now you only have to enter your name, email address and birthday and how you relate to the person (see screenshot). In order for the invited person to accept the invitation, you must know your month and day of birth.
- In the same place, you can also delete a person who shares your Prime benefits.
- Attention, since November 8, 2017, the partial function has been restricted to one other person. All new customers who have bought a Prime account since this date are affected by the change. All existing customers can still invite up to four other people.
