Movies and series can be downloaded and watched offline at any time from Amazon Prime Video. This practical tip shows you how to save the data on the SD card of your smartphone or tablet instead of storing it on the internal memory.
Amazon Prime Video: Download movies to the SD card
If you want to download many films and series at once, you will quickly find yourself in a memory emergency. That's why the Amazon Prime Video app for Android allows you to save films and series on the SD card. However, you must activate this function in the settings.
- To do this, start the app on your device and log in to your Amazon account.
- Then tap on the menu icon with the three horizontal bars at the top left.
- Select the "Settings" entry at the end of the menu.
- Now tap on the first entry "Streaming and Download".
- Finally, activate the "Download videos to SD card" item. In future, Amazon Prime Video will automatically save all downloads to your SD card.
If there is not enough space on your SD card, you have to delete individual downloads from Amazon Prime Video. You can find out exactly how this works in the next article.
